Matt Lanter, who voiced Jedi apprentice Anakin Skywalker throughout the various “Star Wars” animated series, has teased a return to the role.
The former “Timeless” actor tells EW that he’s involved in some kind of Lucasfilm Animation project currently in the works that will follow on from Lanter’s work in “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”.
He tells the outlet: “There’s some new Lucasfilm Animation going on. I’ve been a part of some things I can’t talk about yet. You’ll see Anakin again. I never quite put Anakin down, whether I’m doing a video game or something new for Lucasfilm Animation.”
One possibility is flashbacks in the upcoming animated series “The Bad Batch” which arrives on the Disney+ service from next week. However it’s also possible there are more prequel-era projects not yet announced.
