(UTVNEWS | COLOMBO) – Hot on the heels of “Moxie” at Netflix, Amy Poehler and the streamer are re-teaming for “Steps” – an animated musical reimagining of “Cinderella”.
The project offers a fresh new spin on the Cinderella story with two young Asian leads, following the two stepsisters who, after getting overlooked for marriage by the prince, embark on an epic journey that will help them realize that their own perfect fairytales might be different from what they originally thought.
Alyce Tzue is set to make her directorial debut on the film penned by Riki Lindhome from a story she co-wrote with Kate Micucci. Both are also writing songs for the project and serving as executive producers alongside Poehler, Jane Hartwell and Kim Lessing.
