Passengers stranded over 3- hours as the driver attending personal errands

(UTV | MANNAR) – Passengers were stuck waiting for about 3-hours inside a bus plying from Mannar to Jaffna as the driver had gone for personal errands.

The driver had reportedly stopped the bus operated under the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), midway during the turn from Mannar to Jaffna, and had gone missing for about 3-hours leaving the passengers stranded.

Accordingly, the Mannar District Secretary has directed the SLTB Depot Officials to submit a report within 3-days after a group of passengers who were in the bus had lodged a complaint.
