“Wrath of Man,” “Spiral” move up in May

(UTV| COLOMBO) – With “Black Widow” having exited early May, and some smaller distributors now feeling bullish about the box-office, two previously delayed features have been moved into prime early May theatrical release slots.

First up, Guy Ritchie’s action feature “Wrath of Man” has been slotted in for a May 7th release. With that date not far away, the distributor has released a poster for the film and promises a trailer coming Monday.

Based on the 2004 French film “Le Convoyeur,” Jason Statham stars as the cold and mysterious H who works at a cash truck company responsible for moving millions around Los Angeles each week. Josh Hartnett, Scott Eastwood, Holt McCallany, Jeffrey Donovan, Laz Alonso and Raul Castillo co-star.

The other change is “Spiral: From the Book of Saw,” the Chris Rock-led relaunch of the “Saw” franchise which has been moved up a week and will now start hacking its way into limbs on May 14th. Samuel L. Jackson and Max Minghella co-star in the new entry.
