No issue from India’s hold on COVID-vaccine export – Govt.

(UTV | COLOMBO) – India’s temporary hold on export of Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-vaccine will not cause issues for 2nd doses in Sri Lanka, the State Minister of Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals Channa Jayasumana stated.

Jayasumana assured that Sri Lanka will receive 500,000 doses of the Vaccines ordered from the Serum Institute of India (SII) as scheduled, in addition, Sri Lanka has vaccines remaining from the previous stocks.

India placed a temporary hold on all exports of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-vaccine due to domestic demand.
