“Duel of the Fates” becomes a comic

Several weeks after the release of J.J. Abrams’ “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” at the end of 2019 and its poor reception, details and later concept art emerged over what might have been – namely Colin Trevorrow’s “Star Wars: Duel of the Fates”.

Trevorrow departed the ninth and final chapter in the Skywalker saga in late 2017 over creative differences, his vision for the film mostly discarded until those leaks early last year explaining the story beats and showing off some of the film’s potential look.

Now, graphic novelist Andrew Winegarner is bringing that vision to life in a seven-issue comic book series with most of it available for free online. The ‘Duel’ script’s screenwriters Trevorrow & Derek Connolly have both liked the original tweet, head over to the author’s official site to check it out.
