(UTV | COLOMBO) – The COVID-vaccination drive for those aged-60 and above was started yesterday (08) with the arrival of vaccines under the COVAX Facility.
As per the statistics of the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka has already given the AstraZeneca vaccine to more than 729,562 people.
Sri Lanka received 264,000 doses of COVID-19 Vaccines from the COVAX Facility to the Ministry of Health on Sunday (07).
The UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) delivered the first shipment of 264,000 doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca Vaccine provided to Sri Lanka under the WHO’s COVAX Facility.
