The CW has renewed its hit new series “Superman & Lois” for a second season, the renewal coming after the show has aired just one episode.
Reviews were decent but not great for the series starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch. Both actors previously played the characters across several Arrowverse series.
The numbers were strong for the show though with the pilot debuting to 1.75 million total viewers – the network’s largest audience in the Tuesday timeslot in two years.
The premiere was The CW’s second-largest season or series premiere audience since “Batwoman” in late 2019, behind only the Jared Padalecki-led “Walker” which has already been renewed along with many of the network’s other shows for next season.
