Netflix sets “DOTA” anime series

Netflix has announced “DOTA: Dragon’s Blood,” an eight-episode anime series based on Valve’s hugely-popular free-to-play MOBA video game “DOTA 2” that’s already been produced.

The fantasy series tells the story of Davion, a renowned Dragon Knight devoted to wiping the scourge from the face of the world.

Following encounters with a powerful, ancient eldwurm as well as the noble Princess Mirana on a secret mission of her own, Davion becomes embroiled in events larger than he could have ever imagined.

Studio MIR (“The Legend of Korra,” “Voltron: Legendary Defender”) are handling the animation for the series which launches on March 25th. The first trailer is available below:
