(UTV | COLOMBO) – Cabinet has given its consent to the proposal made by the Minister of Tourism Prasanna Ranatunga to extend concessions granted to the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) and the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) to attract airlines until 19 July.
Co-Cabinet Spokesperson, Minister Udaya Gammanpila said the Cabinet approval was granted in December last year to release the landing charges and aircraft parking charges of BIA and MRIA as an encouragement for International Air Charter Operations implemented according to specific schedules prepared by the Tourism Ministry and the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL).
