Putin reiterates close ties, cooperation with Sri Lanka

(UTV | RUSSIA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a congratulatory message to mark the 73rd Independence Day ceremony in Sri Lanka, reiterated friendly relations and constructive bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The Russian President in a message addressed to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa said, “Please accept sincere congratulations on the occasion of the National Holiday of your country – Independence Day.

The relations between Russia and Sri Lanka are of traditionally friendly nature.

“I am confident that the further development of the constructive bilateral cooperation in the various fields fully meets the interests of our peoples, and is in line with the strengthening of the regional stability and security. I wish you good health and every success, and to all your fellow citizens – well-being and prosperity.”
