(UTV | COLOMBO) – Showers or thundershowers will occur in Northern, North-central, Eastern and Uva provinces and in Matale and Nuwara-eliya districts, stated the Meteorology Department.
Heavy falls about 100 mm can be expected at some places in the Eastern and Northern provinces and in Mathale and Polonnaruwa districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at a several places elsewhere after 2.00 p.m.Fairly heavy falls about 75mm can be expected at some places in the Southern and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Kaluthara district.
Misty conditions can be expected at Western, Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces during the morning.
General public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
