Sign language to be made a recognised language in Sri Lanka

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal to identify the Sign language as a recognised language in Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, a bill will be drafted designating sign language as a formal means of communication in the country.
