Rs. 10 bn worth luxury vehicles confiscated by customs

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Sri Lanka Customs says 300 luxury vehicles that were imported recently despite restrictions imposed on vehicle imports, will be confiscated.

It was revealed that the vehicles are worth Rs.10 billion.

The government halted the import of luxury goods including vehicles, in view of reviving an economy battered by the Easter attacks and the coronavirus.
