COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka rise to 3,365

(UTV | COLOMBO) – One returnee each from Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates have tested positive for the coronavirus today.

Accordingly total cases recorded in the island thus far increased to 3,365.

Meanwhile another 20 persons including one foreign national who contracted COVID-19, recovered and were discharged from hospitals, increasing recoveries to 3,230.

Eight persons were discharged from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, six persons from the Hambantota District General Hospital, four from the Welikanda Base Hospital, and two individuals from the Iranawila Hospital.

A total of 122 persons are presently undergoing medical treatment after contracting the virus, while 46 suspected cases remain under observation.
