General Election related complaints rise to 7,604

UTV | COLOMBO – 7,604 complaints have been lodged with the National Election Commission pertaining to the General Election.

The Commission said 364 complaints were filed during an 18-hour period that ended at six this morning.

All complaints were lodged pertaining to flouting of election laws.

Accordingly, 6,326 complaints have been lodged with District Election Complaints Management Centres and 1,278 complaints have been lodged with the National Election Complaints Management Centre following the declaration of the 2020 Parliamentary Election.
