(UTV | COLOMBO) – Police say officers will be deployed on mobile patrol for the upcoming General Election, from 6pm today.
Speaking during a media briefing Police Media Spokesman Senior Superintendent of Police Jaliya Senaratne said a comprehensive security operation will commence this evening.
Meanwhile, Police officers who have been deployed on election duty must report to the relevant station today.
SSP Senaratne said the officers will be issued directives when they report to the relevant station.
