298 Sri Lankans return from Dubai

UTV | COLOMBO- 298 Sri Lankans who were stranded in the United Arab Emirates due to COVID-19 induced travel restrictions have been repatriated.

The group were flown back to Sri Lanka from Dubai on a special SriLankan Airlines flight, which landed at the Mattala International Airport this morning.

Our airport correspondent said the group included 13 young children.

The Lankans had been employed in the UAE.

All passengers were subjected to PCR tests upon their arrival at the airport.
