Gangster ‘Battaramulle Bunty’ arrested in Thalangama

UTV | COLOMBO -A gangster  ‘Battaramulle Bunty’ who is an accomplice of underworld figure ’Angoda Lokka’, had been arrested in Thalangama this morning.

Police said the suspect was arrested at a house and the police also recovered 6.4 grams of heroin, a car and Rs. 52,000 in cash from the suspect’s possession.

Earlier, the STF arrested the 28-year-old ‘Bunty’ in connection with the attack on the prison bus in Kalutara in which five prisoners including the underworld gangster called Samayan and two Prisons officers were killed, when the Black Maria came under gunfire, when it was transporting prisoners to the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court in 2017.
