Aranthalawa massacre: Injured monk seeks action against living terrorists

(UTV | COLOMBO) – A Buddhist monk who sustained critical injuries following the Aranthalawa Massacre filed a Fundamental Rights petition in the Supreme Court seeking an order to prosecute any living terrorist involved in the massacre.

Ven. Andaulpatha Buddhasara Thera filed this petition today naming Acting IGP, State Intelligence Director and the Attorney General as respondents.

Thirty-three Buddhist monks, most of them young novice monks, and four civilians were killed by the LTTE at Aranthalawa in 1987.
