Total recoveries from COVID-19 rise to 1,619

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Ministry of Health says 17 more patients, who had tested positive for the COVID-19, recovered from the disease today (26).

The latest recoveries were reported from the Infectious Disease Hospital (04), Iranawila Hospital (01), Kattankudy Base Hospital (07), Hambantota District General Hospital (03) and Theldeniya Base Hospital (02), the situation report issued by the Epidemiology Unit read.

This brings Sri Lanka’s recoveries count to 1,619.

The total number of COVID-19 cases identified in the country hit 2,010 on Thursday (25) with 10 fresh cases among naval personnel.

The Epidemiology Unit says 380 patients infected with COVID-19 are currently under medical care at 11 hospitals across the country.

Meanwhile, 11 coronavirus-positive patients have succumbed to the disease in Sri Lanka.
