COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka increase to 2,014

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The number of coronavirus cases reported in the country has increased to 2,014 after four new patients were identified yesterday.

The Government Information Department reported that the four individuals were identified as returnees from Pakistan who were housed at quarantine facilities.

Accordingly 384 individuals are presently being treated for COVID-19 at 11 hospitals.

36 persons who are suspected to have contracted the virus are under observation.

1,619 coronavirus recoveries have been reported after 19 individuals who tested positive made complete recoveries.
