UNP’s achievements speak for themselves- Ruwan

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The United National Party says the public is now aware of the capabilities of rulers after losing concessions and the freedom ensured by the good governance government during a short period of time.

Speaking during a public gathering in Dompe, Deputy General Secretary of the UNP Former State Minister Ruwan Wijewardene said his government upheld the pride and respect of the state service through the establishment of independent commissions.

The Former State Minister said the previous government also granted several concessions to the general public including the reduction of fuel prices, Gamperaliya loan scheme, upgrading the school’s system, insurance scheme for children, the Suwa Seriya Ambulance service and raising the salaries of all state sector employees.

He said the present administration has showcased its inability during the past few months and has distracted the public by putting forth various topics.

Former State Minister Ruwan Wijewardene said the present administration has not delivered a forward-thinking economic policy while the real faces of the government have been revealed gradually.
