Sri Lanka confirms first coronavirus case in two days

(UTV | COLOMBO) – A coronavirus case was identified yesterday, the first case in two days. The number of COVID-19 cases accordingly increases to 1,951.

The new case was identified as a returnee from the Maldives.

414 individuals including five foreign nationals are receiving medical treatment for the novel coronavirus. 31 individuals who are suspected to have contracted the virus are under observation.

1,526 persons who contracted the virus, have recovered after medical treatment and have been discharged from hospital.
