Four Iranians in Sri Lanka tested positive for COVID-19

(UTV | COVID-19) – Four Iranians in Sri Lanka have contracted the COVID-19.

According to the Military Spokesperson Brigadier Chandana Wickremasinghe, 10 individuals had contracted the COVID-19 in Sri Lanka yesterday (16).

Out of the 10, Wickremasinghe stated that 4 are Iranian Nationals while the rest are Sri Lanka Naval Personnel.

The detection comes as 85 Iranians arrived in Sri Lanka to work on the Uma-Oya Project.

The Iranians arrived in Sri Lanka on a special Iranian flight.

The Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Tests were conducted on the Iranians and they were later sent to a Quarantine Centre.
