COVID-19: Navy recoveries rise to 679

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The total number of Navy personnel who have recovered after contracting COVID-19 has risen to 679.

22 Navy personnel were discharged from hospitals yesterday, after fully recovering and subsequently testing negative for the virus.

These naval personnel underwent treatment at the Navy General Hospital as well as the Iranawila, Welikanda, Minuwangoda and National Institute of Infectious Diseases (IDH) hospitals.

All discharged Navy Sailors are now mandated to spend an additional 14 days in isolation as a precautionary measure, according to health services guidelines.
