COVID-19 recoveries rise to 745

(UTV | COLOMBO) -Another 13 persons who contracted the coronavirus have recovered and have been discharged from hospitals.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said the number of COVID-19 recoveries in the country has increased to 745.

Seven of them were discharged from the Navy Hospital, four from the Homagama Base Hospital, and one each from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases and the Colombo East Base Hospital.

The number of coronavirus cases in the country currently stands at 1,469. 150 persons tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday.

714 active COVID-19 cases are presently being treated at hospitals.

691 Navy personnel are also among the coronavirus cases recorded in the country, while 351 of them have been discharged thus far.

430 Lankan returnees have also tested positive for COVID-19.

68 individuals who are suspected to have contracted the coronavirus are under medical observation.
