EC to discuss the election with the Health Ministry

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Election Commission and Ministry of Health are set to hold another round of talks tomorrow pertaining to the conduct of the General Election in line with health and safety guidelines.

Speaking to a prominent online news portal in the isle a spokesman of the Election Commission said attention will be drawn towards existing proposals and opinions.

The Health Ministry has already presented several initial recommendations pertaining to the Election, to the Election Commission.

However, a decision has been reached for the two parties to further study health advice and opinions of the Election Commission pertaining to several election related matters including postal voting, casting ballot, counting votes and inking the little finger of those casting their vote.
