29 COVID-19 cases reported today

(UTV | COLOMBO) – 29 new coronavirus cases were reported today.

Accordingly the number of persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Sri Lanka increased to 1,118.

Of the 29 cases 28 persons were identified as returnees from Kuwait. The 28 individual were reported from quarantine facilities in Trincomalee and Minneriya.

Meanwhile the number of persons who recovered after testing positive for COVID-19 in the country rose to 674.

The Epidemiology Unit said 14 persons recovered and were discharged from hospitals over the past 24 hours.
