(UTV | COLOMBO) – The total number of arrests on charges of violation of curfew regulations has reached 62,677.
Police stated the arrests were made from the 20th of March until 6.00 a.m. today.
The total number of vehicles taken into Police custody also rises to 17,612. 515 persons were arrested within the last 24 hour time frame alone, whilst 152 vehicles were also seized during the daily operation.
Meanwhile a total of 19,586 legal cases have been filed against suspects, while 7,661 sentences have been handed down thus far.
