Sri Lankans stranded in Dubai return

A group of Sri Lankans who were stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake today.

The group had been stranded in Dubai due to the COVID – 19 pandemic.

Close to 194 Sri Lankans had returned from Dubai via a special flight chartered by National Carrier Sri Lankan Airlines.

The Ministry of Foreign Relations has launched a special program to repatriate Sri Lankans stranded overseas.
