Curfew in most districts to be relaxed from today

(UTV | COVID-19) – The Government has relaxed the curfew from today (20) in most districts, but will continue with it in selected Police areas.

The curfew in districts other than the Ampara, Colombo, Gampaha, Kandy, Kalutara, Kegalle, and Puttalam Districts have been lifted from 5.00 AM to 8.00 PM from today on a daily basis.

However, the curfew will not be lifted in the Police areas of Akkaraipattu, Akurana, Alawathugoda, and Warakapola.

The curfew will also be lifted in the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, and Puttalam Districts, excluding 21 Police areas from 5.00 AM to 8.00 PM from 22 April.

The Police areas excluded are;

Colombo District
Bambalapitiya, Dehiwala, Gothatuwa, Grandpass, Keselwatta, Kohuwala, Kotahena, Maradana, Mulleriyawa, Wellampitiya

Gamapaha District
Ja-Ela, Kochchikade, Seeduwa

Puttalam District
Marawila, Puttalam, Wennappuwa;

Kalutara District
Aluthgama, Bandaragama, Beruwala, Payagala
