Wearing face masks in public made mandatory by Govt. to prevent COVID-19

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) C. D. Wickramaratne has issued directives to all Senior Police Officers and Police Stations to request all individuals traveling without face masks in public to return to their homes as wearing face masks in public has made mandatory.

The Acting IGP issued orders to enforce the directive regardless of whether persons possess a curfew pass or any other travel passes to ensure the safety of Police Officers and Tri-Force Personnel who are engaged in duties.
