(UTV | COLOMBO) – Amber Heard could reportedly face up to three years of imprisonment if she is proven guilty of manipulating evidence against Johnny Depp.
Heard and Depp’s very public divorce and subsequent legal battle began in 2016 when she reportedly first made claims of physical and verbal abuse during their short-lived marriage. More recently though, Depp has launched a USD 50 million defamation lawsuit against Heard over the abuse claims.
Heard claimed that she suffered 2 black eyes from Depp the night before appearing on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” in December 2015, but a Court document has seen her Stylist Samantha McMillen state that the Actress “Did not have any visible marks, bruises, cuts, or injuries to her face or any other part of her bod.”
In California, faking injuries like this – especially while obtaining a restraining order – can be classed as a felony which carries a maximum sentence of up to 3-years.
