Essential services allowed to use office ID as curfew pass

Permission to use office identity cards (ID) as curfew passes during the islandwide Police curfew has been further extended till 30 April.

The Police said earlier permission to use office IDs as curfew passes was extended till 10 April.

Under the new system identified by the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP,) on the advice of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, permission to use office IDs as curfew passes has been further extended.

The Police said thereby, employees of Sri Lanka Ports Authority, Customs, Immigration and Emigration, Health, Petroleum, Electricity and Water supply, Agriculture, Ceylon Transport Board, Railways, Treasury, Central Bank of Sri Lanka, private and state banks, and those carrying out essential services will be permitted to use their office IDs as curfew pass till 30 April.
