(UTV | COLOMBO) – Another batch of individuals arrived from overseas, who were placed in Quarantine Centres (QCs) due to the Coronavirus outbreak in Sri Lanka, left for home this morning (30).
The group had left from the quarantine centres in Diyathalawa and Punani after completing their 14-day quarantine period.
Meanwhile, after completion of the 2-week long quarantine process, one more batch of 77 returnees from Galkanda and Punani QCs left for home yesterday (29) from respective locations after completion of medical procedures and receipt of their Quarantine Certificates.
The groups, segregated according to their residential towns were provided with Army transport facilities for their destinations in Colombo, Galle, Kandy, and Kurunegala areas. In addition, troops supplied them with snacks, water and lunch packets on their way with special focus on food varieties for infants and kids.
Respective Commanding Officers at those QCs, Officers and Other Ranks were there to see them off upon successful completion of their quarantine.
