Phone call recordings to be probed by Police HQ

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Government Analysts Department says all recordings of phone calls of Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake will be directed to the Police Headquarters for further investigations next week.

Government Analyst Ariyananda Weliange speaking to a prominent online news portal in the isle has told that the copies have been made of all the phone recordings. He said around 100,000 recordings exist.

Meanwhile 11 teams of the Police Headquarters are on standby to investigate the phone recordings once the copies are handed over.

Investigations will be conducted under the supervision of Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Deshabandu Thennakoon.
