(UTV|COLOMBO) – Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa is of the view that the circulation of narcotics amongst children is one of the burning issues being faced in the country.
Speaking at an event in Colombo, Prime Minister Rajapaksa said even chemical drugs are being sold in the vicinity of schools, at present.
The Premier said the failure to rid children from the drug menace, will result in the country deteriorating even further.
On a separate note, Prime Minister Rajapaksa said a systematic program is underway to convert members of traditional Buddhist families to other religions.
Premier Mahinda Rajapaksa requested the Maha Sangha to come forward to reverse the trend and take forward a strong journey.
