Pujith & Hemasiri before court today

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Former Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Hemasiri Fernando and Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara, who was sent on mandatory leave, are set to be produced before Court once again today.

During the last court hearing, Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage issued an order to remand the duo until today.

IGP Pujith Jayasundara and former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando are charged with failure to take measures to prevent the Easter Sunday attacks in April last year, or minimize the destruction caused, despite receiving prior intelligence information.
