Nigerian Navy arrests 7 Lankans for oil bunkering

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Nigerian Navy has arrested 7 Sri Lankans among other suspects for oil theft also known as oil bunkering.

The group has been handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission that investigates financial crimes.

The Nigerian Navy yesterday handed over the 7 Lankans, 57 Nigerians and 2 Ghanaians, suspected to be involved in oil bunkering to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Nigerian media reported that seven vessels were arrested by the Nigerian Navy between the 3rd and 30th of December.
