(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Centre for Environment and Nature Studies (CENS) has requested the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) C. D. Wickramaratne to promptly conduct an investigation into the deaths of 7 female elephants in Hiriwadunna, Habarana.
The CENS called for an immediate investigation be conducted to punish all those responsible as the cause of deaths has been speculated to be poisoning by locals.
