(UTV|COLOMBO) – United National Party’s (UNP) former general secretary, Tissa Attanayake has informed UNP Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa, who is aspiring to the presidency, in writing to pledge his support in the run-up to the presidential poll.
Mr. Attanayake said he conveyed his support in response to the letter sent by Minister Premadasa requesting him to rejoin the UNP.
Minister Premadasa requested former UNPers who quit the party including former general secretary Tissa Attanayake to rejoin the party earlier.
