Sri Lanka U18 Left to Nepal for SAFF Championship

(UTV|COLOMBO) –  Sri Lanka U18 Men’s Football team left to Nepal today morning, 18 th September 2019 to take part in the SAFF Championship. The tournament set to held from 20th September to 29th September at APF Stadium, Nepal.

Sri Lanka will face India and Bangladesh in the group stage. Football Federation of Sri Lanka conducted trials in Colombo City League Sports complex for Colombo district players on 10th July 2019 and outstation players on 11th July 2019 to gather players for U18 National pool and 30 players continued their residential training over a month at
Football Federation.

Now, the final 20 players left today morning to Nepal. The squad consists of players from all around the country.
Sri Lankan Team will be led by Shenal Sandesh and Mohamed Mushfir will be deputized the team.
