‘Nelum Kuluna’ illuminates Colombo skyline today

(UTV|COLOMBO) – South Asia’s tallest self-supported structure, the ‘Lotus Tower’ (Nelum Kuluna) in Colombo will be opened to the public by President Maithripala Sirisena with the participation of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa today (16).

The 350 metres tall-‘Lotus Tower’ constructed at a cost of USD 104.3 million with funding from the Government of China will function as a conference centre, a hotel, a shopping mall, and a television tower.
