(UTV|COLOMBO) – India’s DMK parliamentarian Kanimozhi, who was in Colombo on a private visit, has called on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Temple Trees last evening.
Kanimozhi speaking to a prominent online news portal said they primarily discussed the status of reconstruction and rehabilitation in the North and East and inquired into the progress in the post-war years.
She said she also highlighted the grievances of Tamil Nadu fishermen with the Prime Minister, claiming that the fishermen’s problems were yet to be fully resolved.
Kanimozhi said she conveyed to Premier Wickremesinghe that Tamil Nadu fishermen repeatedly complained of the Sri Lankan Navy damaging their fishing nets.
Kanimozhi met the Prime Minister with a group of MPs and MLAs from Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
She attended the wedding of Minister Rauff Hakeem’s daughter in Colombo.
