SriLankan grounds MacBook Pros after Apple issues a recall

(UTV|COLOMBO) – SriLankan Airlines has prohibited passengers from carrying MacBook Pro laptop devices which do not have the required verification documents.

SriLankan Airlines has advised that Apple has determined that, in a limited number of older generation 15-inch MacBook Pro laptop devices, the battery may overheat and pose a fire safety risk.

Affected laptop devices were sold primarily between September 2015 and February 2017.
