Sri Lanka likely to receive light rain today

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Department of Meteorology forecasted that showers are expected in several areas today (04).

Accordingly, several spells of showers may occur in Central and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, while light showers are expected to occur in Western, Southern and North-Western Provinces.

Showers or thundershowers expected at a few places in Uva Province and in Ampara and Batticaloa Districts after 2.00 this evening, the Meteorology Department stated, adding that wind speed can increase up to 50 kilometres per hour at times in Northern Province.
