(UTV|COLOMBO) – The 41st Sunday Observer Mobitel Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year awards ceremony will be held on September 20 (Friday).
The award winners have already been picked and they will be able to receive their prizes at the glittering show to be graced by former Sri Lankan cricketers.
Last year the main award was won by Trinity College batsman Hasitha Boyagoda who became the Sunday Observer-Mobitel Cricketer of the Year and received his award from former Sri Lanka captain and current ICC match referee Ranjan Madugalle.
This year St. Anthony’s College player Theekshana Gunasinghe will pick up the award for the Most Popular Cricketer based on the vote count.
This year’s show will also have an added attraction in the presentation of awards to schoolgirl cricketers. (DN)
