THE SCIENCE CURRICULUM TO BE CHANGED

(UTv|COLOMBO) –  The Ministry of Education stated that the school science curriculum will be changed to make room for more practical activities.

It will be revised under the new curriculum amendments, which will be effective in 2023.

It is expected to introduce a research-based science education system instead of the existing structure in the school science curriculum.

The Ministry of Education announced that the Education Ministry, The National Institute of Education and the National Science Foundation have already taken steps to introduce the new curriculum.

It has been proposed to revise the curriculum by incorporating activities that will constantly assess the students regarding the subject knowledge.
