More rain in Sri Lanka likely

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Department of Meteorology forecasted today (20) that showery condition in South-Western part of the island is expected to enhance to some extent during next few days.

Meanwhile, showers or thundershowers are expected to occur today at Northern, Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western Provinces, and in Galle and Matara Districts, while showers or thundershowers may occur at several places elsewhere, particularly Eastern Province and in Badulla District after 2.00 this evening.

Furthermore, heavy falls about 50 – 100 millimetres are likely at some places in North-Western, Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, and in Batticaloa, Ampara, Galle and Matara Districts.
